Carole Baskin is an American company executive and a famous animal right activist who became popular as a participant of some prime-time TV shows. She was born in 1961 in Texas and since her childhood she felt passion for animals, especially rescuing animals. After dropping out of high school she traveled to Florida on her own, where she managed to get a job in a department store. At first, she was involved in a cat breeding business, but later on she began working for a large cat rescuing organization. Since the early 1990s Carole Baskin has been among the most avid promoters of animal protection and animal rights. She is famous as an author and a blogger in many editions and media. In 2020 she took part in filming a TV documentary on Netflix, Tiger King, where the story of her long time feud with Joe Exotic, a convicted zoo keeper, is told.
