Jean-Claude Van Damme is a famous actor and martial artist of Belgium origins. He was born in 1960 as Jean-Claude Camille François Van Varenberg in Brussels and started training in karate at the age of 10. When he was a teenager, he took part in a few competitions in karate and kickboxing, as well as started taking up taekwondo and Thai boxing. His first cinema role was in a local romantic drama, but the first serious movie of his was "Breaking" (1984). In the late 1980s, Vam Damme appeared in such movies as "Bloodspot" and the first film of "Kickboxer" series. During the next 20 years he starred in such movies as "Lionheart", "Double Impact", "Universal Soldier", "Streetfighter", "Hard Target", "Sudden Death", "Knock Off", "Wake of Death", "Narco", "Until Death", "JVCD", etc. Apart from action movies, Vam Damme took part in a few comedy movies and gave his voice to a few characters in animated films like "Kung Fu Panda". Along with Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Dolph Lundgren, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and other martial artists, Jean-Claude Van Damme became a part of "The Expendables" series.
