Kodak Black is an American rapper known for his unique style and a few popular singles. Born Dieuson Octave in 1997 in Florida to the family of Haitian origins, he grew up in sunny Florida and has been in love with rapping and hip hop since his early childhood. Thus, when he was a child he used to study dictionaries and extending his vocabulary in order to be successful in rap battles. In his teen ages, he was a very active young man and took part in a large number of various projects and events like the performances of the Brutal Youngnz hip hop group. At first, he chose the nickname Lil Black and even started with its nickname but later on, when joining Instagram he selected the name Kodak Black which was liked by his fans even more. His main inspiration came from a rapper Lil Boosie and in 2013 Black released his first mixtape followed by another one which came out a year later. In the mid-2010s he released a few singles like "Tunnel Vision", "No Flocking", "Dying to Live", "Zeze", and others, which were noticed by the general public and managed to reach quite high lines in Billboard. Just like many other rappers, Kodak Black has spent a lot of time in jail. In 2018 he changed his name to Bill K. Kapri. He is the father of a boy named King Khalid Octave.
