Ian Fraser Kilimser known as Lemmy is an English musician and songwriter who became famous as the frontman of "Motörhad" band. He is known as one of the founders of British heavy metal music and is famous for his distinctive gravelly voice. Lemmy was born in 1945 in Staffordshire and his father was a musician. His childhood was not so bright because of the divorce of his parents and frequent moving from one place to the other. Lemmy started getting interested in music since his secondary school times. In the late 1960s, he joined a number of bands, and he formed his first band in the mid-1970s. In 1975 he became a member of "Motörhad", he played bass and was the lead singer in the band for 40 years. It took him a few years to find his special bass playing style, and in the early 1980s the band became very popular, especially after releasing their famous hit "Ace of Spades". The band was extremely prolific and successful, having released 22 studio albums and a dozen concert albums. Lemmy dedicated his life to the band, and he worked quite hard on the band's material until his death in 2015. Lemmy died at the age of 70 in his home in LA. It became the final point for his band's story.
