Martin Lawrence is a famous American actor and comedian known primarily for his role in "Bad Boys" movie series. Born in 1965 in Germany where his father was serving as a military officer, Martin grew up in a very large family and was one of the six children of his parents. In his teen ages Lawrence has been rather interested in boxing than acting, and he spent his youth in Maryland getting involved in various boxing related projects and competitions. In the late 1980s he moved to Washington DC where he started getting interested in stand up comedy and at a certain point decided to try himself on stage. In the beginning of his career he was involved in such comedy projects as "The Improv" or "Star Search". His TV debut took place in 1987 when Lawrence received a role in the TV series "What's Happening Now". His other notable TV projects include TV series "Martin" or "Def Comedy Jam". In the cinema world Martin Lawrence is known as Detective Marcus Bunette in "Bad Boys" where he starred next to Will Smith, or Malcolm Turner in "Big Momma's House" movies series. He also took part in creating such movies as "House Party", "Blue Streak", "Black Knight", "National Security", "Wild Hogs", "College Road Trips", "Death at a Funeral", and so on. Lawrence is a father of 3 daughters and is a good friend of such actors as Denzel Washington and Eddie Murphy.
