Phil Collins is a famous British musician, singer, drummer, songwriter, and actor, who became famous as a member of "Genesis" band and went on as a very successful solo singer. He was born in 1951 in the neighborhood of London and grew up alongside his brother who is now a famous creator of short animated films. Phil was a very talented child, great in learning to play musical instruments and acting. As a child, he played in musicals and on the stage of London theaters. However, after finishing high school he was more focused on becoming a musician, so in the late 1960s he started playing as a drummer with various bands, and in 1970 he joined "Genesis". During the 1970s he contributed to the band's work with not only his drumming but also singing and songwriting. Collins started his solo career in the late 1970s and has released 8 studio albums becoming one of the most successful and one of the world's best selling musicians. He recorded the hits like "In the Air Tonight", "Do You Remember?", "I Don't Care Anymore", and others, which were among the most sold ones of the 1980s. Collins also tried himself in acting and took part in over a dozen of movies, including "Frauds" and "And the Band Played On".
