Russel Brand is a famous British actor, showman, comedian, entertainer, and activist. Born in 1975 in Essex, Russel was the only child and was brought up by his single mother. His youth was difficult since his mom started having serious health problems and Russel had to live with his relatives whom he used to have serious arguments with. In the late 1990s he starter performing as a stand-up comedian on various stages, began entering various kinds of competitions as a stage comedian and debuted on the radio. During the 2000s Brand continued working actively on the radio and collaborated with MTV on various projects where he appeared mainly as a presenter and host. His cinema debut took place in 2007 when he played a role in the movie St. Trinian's. His most notable roles include the ones in the movies Bedtime Stories (with Adam Sandler), Get Him to the Greek, Arthur, Paradise, Army of One (with Nick Cage), and others. Russel Brand is known for his participation in Saturday Night Live and being one of the best presenters of MTV Video Music Award Ceremony. He was married to Katy Perry and now he is married to a Scottish media personality Laura Gallaher, and the couple has 2 daughters. Brand is a vegetarian and an avid political and social life activist.
